It’s probable that the inspiration for the scene in Succession where Logan’s eldest and most pathetic son, Kendall Roy, accidentally kills a waiter comes from the Chappaquiddick incident. You know, back in 1969 when Ted Kennedy accidentally killed Mary Jo Kopechne, a secretary who worked on his brother’s presidential campaign a year earlier. Ted fled the scene and received only a two month suspended sentence. It must be nice to have family in such high places that they are barely within the reach of lowly ol’ Rule of Law. When we watched Kendall’s car crash, our point of reference was different: we thought of [--REDACTED--] the eldest son [-------------REDACTED----------] under whose [--------------REDACTED-------------] [--REDACTED--] years. It’s rare to ever hear [-REDACTED-]([---REDACTED—] press is awash [-----REDACTED------] who is a very poor substitute for Roman and definitely no Shiv, [-----REDACTED-----]). You see, [REDACTED] a woman. In [--REDACTED--] was the Metropolitan Mayor of [REDACTED], [---------REDACTED-------] the streets of Şişli [---REDACTED---] and [------------------REDACTED---------------------]. He [REDACTED], supposedly [REDACTED] to London. [---------------------REDACTED------------------------]. [---REDACTED---].
